Whorl of Sound celebrates the cycles of life in music making and play to invoke joy and contemplation through relaxation and meditation. In both immersive digital soundscapes and live experiences for individuals or groups, I see gongs, drums, singing bowls and the healing power of the voice as a catalyst to stimulate creativity.

Whorl of Sound celebrates the cycles of life in music making and play to invoke joy and transformation through relaxation and meditation.

In both immersive digital soundscapes and live experiences for individuals or groups, I see gongs, drums, singing bowls and the healing power of the voice as a catalyst to stimulate creativity.

Working with yoga teachers and musicians I enjoy creating circles of partnership which enhance my belief that positivity comes in union with others.

Gaining skills in sound composition and production at the ‘Get It Together’ recording studio based in Stroud, I went on to train with Tim Wheater and Cherub at the Academy of Integrated Sonic Medicine to become a practitioner in the field of sound healing. Further immersions in advanced gong mastery with grand gongmasters Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre have enabled me to weave a love-long passion for gong play and the transformative power of sound and music into my day to day life. As a retail partner for Crystal Tones® I work with people individually to discover their sound signature and enrich their practice with Alchemy crystal singing bowls.

Throughout my ongoing professional development I continue to connect with teachers from around the world. Sound, music and body work creates a holistic dynamic in which to explore emotions and energy.

At a yoga retreat I hosted recently at Ashiyana Yoga Goa I had the enormous privilege of working with the supremely talented Kate Lewis @k8.lewis from @whorlofsound and @crystalsoundsanctum.

During a phenomenal sound bath, Kate took us on a wonderful journey using gongs, crystal bowls, drums and chimes, transporting us into a truly magical world of harmony and healing.

Kate’s mastery as a musician of resonant, immersive sound is outstanding, and she has the wisdom and intuition to hold space and guide you into a state of blissful relaxation.

Kate was also incredibly generous with her time at the retreat, offering guidance and teachings around gongs and crystal bowls.

Her contribution to my retreat was such a blessing and I would dearly love to collaborate with her on future meditation and sound experiences.

I LOVED my gong session with Kate! She is a wonderful and knowledgeable teacher.

Kate has invested extensively in high quality sound healing instruments, as well as advanced gong and multiple sound healing trainings, which was very evident during our time together.

Playing Kate’s beautiful gongs and learning from her wisdom was epic.

Kate is such a generous teacher with an exquisite passionate for sound healing. Her warm and encouraging nature enhanced the experience.

Her gorgeous Grotta Sonora bowl harp is nothing short of divine!

Kate, I’m extremely grateful for such an enriching, informative and heart-centred session. I will cherish this experience. I will take everything I learned into my gong playing, which I know will enhance my sound bath offerings.

If you are considering having a session with Kate the answer is YES! Go for it. You will not be disappointed.
